NDC 2011 at theStudio - Mini kit freebie

Yippee!!  I've decided to join in the Next Designer Contest over at theStudio, which is going on throughout the month.  I really would like to take the plunge into designing and thought that this would be a perfect learning experience for me.  I did do it last year and had a blast!

Our first challenge was to come up with a mini kit containing 5 papers and 12 unique elements with 'Daybreak' as our theme.  Our color palette was made up of soft blues, pinks, purples and grays; perfect early morning colors!

'Indian Summer' by Farynar's Wings

Hi Everyone!

I have a beautiful new kit to share with you; it's called 'Indian Summer' by Farynar's Wings.  It has fourteen papers (eight solids) and many gorgeous elements, along with a full alpha, which includes uppercase, lowercase, numbers and most punctuation.

As you can see from the preview, it contains all the beautiful colors that you'd expect for an 'end of summer' kit; gorgeous bold plums, yellows, turquoise and greens, just to name a few.

New Template Pack from Alegna - and a Freebie. Really!

Okay, I have to admit that I completely forgot to upload the freebie that I've been teasing you with the past few posts.  It's all set now and you'll find it at the bottom of this post.

This week, I've had the please of working with 2 new fantastic kits; 'Water Fun' by Farynar's Wings and 'Mysterious Sea' by Lisete.
Both have the same theme, water, but are completely different styles.  I love the 'papery' feel of  'Water Fun'; it lends itself to the more whimsical layouts of summer-time fun.  I also love the more elegant feel of 'Mysterious Sea'; it lends itself to more romantic and mystical layouts.  Both would be excellent additions to your stash!

Some New Releases...

Hello everyone!  I don't have any freebies for you today, but I do have a few beautiful and cute new kits to share with you.

This first kit is so adorably cute that I had to use it for the monthly Sensational Siggies challenge over at Scrappity-Doo-Dah.  The kit is 'Dino's Rule' by Farynar's Wings and, as you can see by my layout, dinosaurs aren't just for boys!  Her color palette really lends itself to either boy or girl layouts.

The second kit is 'Tropical Punch' by Lisete.  I used it for my July desktop; I'm so happy every time I look at it; the colors are so beautiful and happy!  It's a perfect kit to scrap all of those summer photos.

The last kit I have to share is 'Stacked Vol. 3' by Alegna.  It's a template pack full of gorgeous stacked paper templates.  For this layout, I used Template 1 and 'Ali Oop' by Mandy King.
