Well, I didn't make it to the 4th round in theStudio's Next Designer Contest :-( I was a little sad when the results were posted, but I learned a lot and I can work on my designing a little more (using what I've learned). It was a wonderful contest, full of super talented ladies, and I'm sure the judges had a hard time choosing only 10 contestants to go forward.
Anyway, recently I was able to work with an absolutely beautiful kit created by Bekah E. Designs called 'Fall Affair'.
It has a very elegant feel to it and a beautiful color scheme featuring shades of teal, brown, rust and gold. It's currently on sale for 40% off, so hurry over to her store at Scrappity-Doo-Dah and pick it up!
Here's a layout that I did using this wonderful kit...
I will be participating in a design contest over at Scrapping Fairytales starting October 1st, so be sure to come back and snag the freebies that I'll be making!
This is a place for me to ramble on about digi-scrapping and to showcase my own kits, as well as those that I CT for.

Round 3 Mini Kit Freebie - and an add-on!!
I'm a few days late posting this, but I've made it to Round 3 of theStudio's Next Designer Contest! Wahoo!!
This round was very difficult, as it was the infamous 'No CU' round. Everything in the kit had to be made by us! We could use our camera, scanner and any tools that came with our design software or computer. We were given a theme, 'The Evening News' and color palette, but could add a pop of color to it.
I had so much fun making this kit, even though it stretched my designing 'chops'. I loved making the papers and have an add-on for all of you, as I got a little carried away with them!!
Here is the preview of my mini kit...
Here are the download links for the papers and the ellies.
And here is the preview of the papers add-on...
You can click on the preview or here to download.
I hope you enjoy it! Don't forget to stop by theStudio to see the other entries and download some wonderful goodies!!

I've made it to Round 2!! and a freebie...
I made it through to round 2 of theStudio's Next Designer Contest!
It was a little harder this round - We were given a theme/name 'Summer Afternoon' and a preview template and we had to come up with our own color palette, 6 papers and at least 20 ellies, including 1 cluster.
I immediately thought of late summer afternoons - the greens and pinks, the flowers...
Here's my preview and the link to the kit. Also, don't forget to check out the rest of the entries; the talent is huge and everyone's entry is so unique. This challenge really let our individual style show.
I hope you enjoy it!

NDC 2011 at theStudio - Mini kit freebie
Yippee!! I've decided to join in the Next Designer Contest over at theStudio, which is going on throughout the month. I really would like to take the plunge into designing and thought that this would be a perfect learning experience for me. I did do it last year and had a blast!
Our first challenge was to come up with a mini kit containing 5 papers and 12 unique elements with 'Daybreak' as our theme. Our color palette was made up of soft blues, pinks, purples and grays; perfect early morning colors!
Here's what I came up with - Daybreak mini
You can download it here, or click on the preview.
There are many, many talented entries, so go take a look in the gallery and grab a few freebies, too!!
